Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf
This is a tutorial on how to make a cute illustration of little red riding hood and the scary wolf walking down the paths in a forest. The tutorial was made easy to follow along, and to enjoy the beauty of drawing. Made in Corel Painter 4.
Step 11. Background Shadows
Many modern artist now say never to use black, because it is not a real color and reality is only different shades of color. While in real life that may be true, I like the look it gives, like the old famous paintings that still used black. The use of black in the drawing gives it more of a fairytale or dream like style.
Step 12. Chactor Shading and Details
Next, I shaded Mr. Wolf and little red riding hood in. I added in many new details. For example, I added to the wolf's eyes using the red and yellow to make a glowing effect. I also added some clouds, flowers, more shadows, highlights to the trees and to the grass. Lastly, I darkened the edges of the drawing to draw eyes to the center of the drawing more.
Step 13. Final
As we reach the end, I added the final touch ups to the illustration. I added more highlights to the wolf so he would stand out better. I replaced some of the black lines with darker or lighter colors to smooth out the lines into the drawing.
